Charlotte Kemp Muhl and Eden Rice, Of Kemp & Eden, Perform Songs They Wrote As Preteens

Why Sean Lennon's Girlfriend Refuses To Wear Pants

Every since they were little girls, Charlotte Kemp Muhl and Eden Rice would play dress-up and write songs. Today, their days of make-believe are over, but the two best friends are still making music, this time for their very own folk rock band Kemp & Eden. Charlotte and Eden are not only gifted musically, but they both possess a killer sense of style. Lucky for us, they recently invited Stylelist Blogger Network members Elisa Goodkind and Lily Mandelbaum of StyleLikeU into their home (which they share with Charlotte's boyfriend Sean Lennon, John Lennon's son) to take a look inside their closets, meet their pet python and get a better sense of why this duo works.

Although these two ladies may seem like one, they have two very distinct personalities. Charlotte, the wild child of the two, had been modeling since childhood (and it's no wonder with her saucer size eyes, dewy skin and Scarlett Johansson-esque lips). The New York native is a lover of animals and always tries to wear one item of clothing that connects her to nature, whether it's a cat bone necklace or a feathered hat.

Eden, the more mature of the two (according to Charlotte), can be most easily identified by her flaming red locks. The southern belle, who was born and raised in Georgia, was very much influenced by her surroundings and has a penchant for feminine lyrical dresses. Ms. Rice is not only a musician, but she is also an artist who creates beautiful paintings that are always a touch dark.

Even though these two ladies diverge when it comes to personal style, both love unique pieces like intricate dresses, custom made booties and oversized hats. When pressed about clothing choices, they rather talk about the sad state of fashion today (read crocs and sweatpants) and their nostalgia for another time.

Watch the video above to find out why Charlotte hates pants and to hear Eden's theory on what unites all the movers and shakers of the world.
