A Miami teen has been arrested for the fatal shooting of a man killed just months after being cleared of murder charges in a controversial "Stand Your Ground" ruling.

The Miami Herald reports 17-year-old Dontrelle Williams was arrested last week and charged with first-degree murder and possession of two illegal firearms, one of which killed Greyston Garcia when he was struck in the crossfire of a gang-related gunfight June 26.

Garcia, 26, had just won a ruling in March granting him immunity after he chased and stabbed a suspected car radio thief to death. Though he did not call 911, hid the knife, and sold two of the car radios in the thief's possession, a judge ruled Garcia could go free under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law, which generally removes a person's duty to retreat in the face of a threat.

The case garnered national headlines at the height of coverage over the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

But while driving to work weeks later, Garcia was caught in gunfire in Miami's Liberty City neighborhood, and was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.

The shootout also claimed the life of 16-year-old Ron Jones, who was found dead lying in the street.

According to the Herald, Williams will likely be tried as an adult; another suspect, Darin Lundy, has yet to be apprehended.
