New 'Silver Linings Playbook' Trailer: Ho Hey, An Oscar Favorite (VIDEO)

WATCH: New Trailer For Oscar Fave 'Silver Linings Playbook'

"Silver Linings Playbook" is looming over Oscar season as a major contender, and the new trailer for the film does nothing to diminish its status as an early front-runner.

Directed by David O. Russell ("The Fighter") and starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver, Shea Whigham and Chris Tucker, "Silver Linings Playbook" tells the story of Pat (Cooper), a man recently released from a psychiatric hospital who forms a relationship with Tiffany (Lawrence). Scored with song "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers, the newest trailer manages to be both laugh-out-loud funny, surprisingly heartfelt and plot-centric: Audiences now know why Pat went crazy and that he really doesn't like bad endings. "Can't somebody say, 'Hey, let's have a good ending to the story'?"
