'Project Runway': Designing For Babies While Caring For Fake, Crying Baby Dolls (VIDEO)

'Project Runway': Designing For Babies

Kids took center stage on "Project Runway" this week. While real kids stole the show on the runway, it was those fake babies from high school health class that gave the contestants fits. They had to care for them as if they were back in school, taking them on the subway, shopping for fabric, and even back to their apartments at night.

The challenge was to create a look for Heidi Klum's Babies "R" Us clothing line. In fact, the winner of the competition will have their design sold at the store. But the excitement of the remaining six finalists was quickly tempered when they learned they'd have to cart those fake babies around. The Wall Street Journal wasn't that excited about the babies either, writing, "It’s torture listening to them wail. No thanks, Lifetime."

At the last minute, Klum freed the designers from the babies, but added the challenge of creating a related look for the real babies' moms as well. In the end, Sonjia won while Elena was kicked auf.

And then there were five. "Project Runway" continues on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
