Natalie Portman As Jackie Kennedy: 'Black Swan' Actress In Talks To Play First Lady

Natalie Portman As Jackie Kennedy?

What do Katie Holmes, Blair Brown, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Jaclyn Smith, Jacqueline Bisset, Jill Hennessy and Sarah Michelle Gellar have in common?

They've all played Jackie Kennedy onscreen. And Natalie Portman may soon be included in the litany of actresses who've portrayed the iconic first lady.

Deadline reports that the "Black Swan" stunner is being wooed by Fox Searchlight to star in "Jackie," a drama that follows the title character in the aftermath of President John F. Kennedy's assassination.

Portman's "Black Swan" director, Darren Aronofsky, and his ex-fiance Rachel Weisz were originally on board with the project but both have dropped out.

"It’s a very beautiful script," Weisz told MTV in 2010 of the film, penned by Noah Oppenheim. "I think it’s the four or five days after the assassination and how [Jackie] deals with the assassination and the funeral. It’s not a biopic. Its about that short period of time."

What do you think of Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy? And who do you think should direct "Jackie"?
