Kristin Chenoweth In 'The Good Wife' Guest Spot That Led To Her Head Injury (VIDEO)

Kristin Chenoweth's 'Good Wife' Guest Role That Saw Her Injured

In a guest spot with a looming sense of danger hovering over it, Kristin Chenoweth was nevertheless very powerful in the season premiere of "The Good Wife." It was back in July that Chenoweth sustained a serious injury on the set of the program when a piece of equipment fell and hit her on the head. According to the New York Daily News, Chenoweth said she suffered a 5 1/2 inch skull fracture, which she said was still impacting her day-to-day life two months later.

On "The Good Wife," she stood in as the voice of the people, according to CarterMatt.com, "asking why in the world Peter and Alicia are legally still together."

While it was a short-but-sweet stint in this episode, Small Screen Scoop indicated in their recap of this episode that Chenoweth is back at work, writing, "She has been back filming on set and I’m sure causing all sorts of problems for Alicia."

That'll be welcome news to HuffPost TV's Chris Harnick, who thought "it was refreshing to see [Chenoweth] in a more dramatic role." He wrote, "Get well soon, Kristin, and please come back to 'The Good Wife.'"

In the meantime, "The Good Wife" continues on Sundays 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
