Sandra Fluke Continues Busy Campaign Tour In Ohio, New York

Women's health advocate Sandra Fluke is keeping busy on the campaign trail with a packed schedule of upcoming events for President Barack Obama, Democratic congressional candidates and a few Planned Parenthood affiliates.

After spending the weekend in Florida campaigning for Democratic congressional candidates Lois Frankel, Patrick Murphy, Val Demings and Keith Fitzgerald, Fluke will head to Ohio on Tuesday for a three-day bus tour of the state with the Obama campaign.

On Monday, Oct. 8, the recent Georgetown Law graduate will fly to Los Angeles, Calif., to campaign for Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.). Later that week, she heads to upstate New York to campaign for more congressional candidates, to speak at local Planned Parenthood rallies and to participate in a symposium on contraception at Albany Law School.

Fluke will then fly back to Ohio for a "Women for Obama" campaign event on Oct. 17.

Since conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh called her a "slut" for advocating for contraception coverage, Fluke has become one of Obama's most valuable and polarizing surrogates on the campaign trail. She was given a primetime speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention last month and is now touring the country to highlight differences in Democratic and Republican positions on issues such as equal pay and preventative health care coverage.
