'Grey's Anatomy': Arizona Loses Her Leg, April And Jackson Rekindle Romance And More In Season 9 Trailer (VIDEO)

Arizona's Amputation, Rekindled Romance & More 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 9 Trailer

The Season 9 premiere of "Grey's Anatomy" (Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC) jumped forward one month after Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), Mark (Eric Dane), Cristina (Sandra Oh), Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) were rescued after the ill-fated plane crash that killed Lexie (Chyler Leigh) in the Season 8 finale.

But now, there's more about what happened during those 30 days in the Season 9 trailer below.

In the Season 9 premiere, Derek was recovering from hand surgery, Cristina fled to Minnesota, Meredith came out looking fine, Mark died and, at the end of the episode, it was revealed that Arizona lost her leg as a result of an injury from the crash.

When Episode 2 of Season 9 airs this week, "Grey's" goes back to the rescue aftermath and, as we see in the trailer, Arizona begs Callie (Sara Ramirez) to keep her leg. "Promise. Promise me you won't let them take my leg," she pleads with her wife. Time will tell if Arizona ever forgives her.

There's also more info on Cristina's departure from Seattle Grace in the trailer. After the crash, she doesn't respond to Meredith and throws a vase at the window when the new interns are staring at her.

Plus, it seems Derek may not be able to do surgery anytime soon and an old flame will be rekindled: Jackson (Jesse Williams) asks April (Sarah Drew), “Do you want to get married?” and then they kiss.

Find out what happens on "Grey's Anatomy" on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
