Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear for a new look at "The Lone Ranger," with Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the titular masked crusader.
Disney is set to release "The Lone Ranger" on July 3, 2013, but that doesn't mean the studio can't get out of the starting gate with some marketing materials. In addition to the new poster (which you can see below) and trio of photos, Disney will unveil the first "Lone Ranger" trailer on Wednesday morning. (The clip will likely accompany the Disney-released "Frankenweenie" in theaters on Friday.)
With a budget near a reported $250 million, "The Lone Ranger" took nearly 150 days to shoot. The film, directed by frequent Depp collaborator Gore Verbinski ("Pirates of the Caribbean," "Rango"), was struck with tragedy during the tail end of production when a crew member drowned on set.
Check out the poster and some new stills from "The Lone Ranger" below.
