WATCH: Ty Segall's Epic Morning News Set

Coming off of two sold-out shows with Thee Oh Sees at the Logan Square Auditorium the previous weekend, San Francisco psych rocker Ty Segall stopped by the WGN Morning News set Tuesday and, well, whatever it was that ensued was bizarrely epic considering its 9 a.m. time slot.

Segall and his band, who impressed at this summer's Pitchfork Music Festival, capped off the WGN news program with a two-minute selection off their new album "Twins," which is due to be released next week. (Watch the performance above.)

Before long, the song devolved into Segall screaming "Chicago" repeatedly at top volume. The news anchors rolled with it:
