The luxury sports car authorities say is linked to the murder of a suburban Chicago bride mere hours after her wedding was found last Thursday.

Estrella Carrera, 26, was found fatally stabbed in a dry bathtub of a Burbank, Ill. apartment in May. She had married Arnoldo Jimenez, the father of her 2-year-old son, in a secret ceremony at Chicago's City Hall on May 11, the same day police say she was killed.

Jimenez, 30, was charged with first-degree murder in his new wife's slaying and a manhunt has been underway for him since Carrera's body was discovered.

The search for Jimenez took an unusual turn when authorities announced on Wednesday that they had found the black 2006 Maserati that Jimenez was last seen in inside the Chicago garage that belonged to Humberto Jimenez, the murder suspect's brother, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The car was filled with blood, NBC Chicago reports, and is now in the custody of Burbank police.

Humberto is charged with being at the helm of a massive drug conspiracy, according to the Chicago Tribune. Wiretaps of Humberto's phone revealed that he had traveled with his brother Arnoldo to Hidalgo, Texas, a town near the Mexican border to which the murder suspect was traced using phone records shortly after Carrera's death.

A $10,000 reward has been offered for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of Arnoldo Jimenez. Anyone with information may contact either the FBI at 312-421-6700 or Burbank police at 708-924-7300.
