Jimmy Fallon wasted no time in parodying the first presidential debate of the election season, pulling out his Romney impression to play an agitated version of the GOP candidate who grows increasingly frustrated with moderator Jim Lehrer (played by "Late Night" head writer A.D. Miles). Both sides of the aisle seemed to agree that Lehrer's ineffectual moderating served as a distraction throughout the debate.
The real life versions of Romney and Obama may not have explicitly told Lehrer to "shut the f*** up," as they do in this sketch, but it seemed like they sure as hell wanted to.
