Romney Debates Himself (CARTOON)

'TOON: Romney's One Man Debate

mitt debates himself

Well, that was interesting. Or not.

Governor Romney came out swinging, on offense from the get-go, and never pulled up on the reins, leaving President Obama flustered at times, unsure of himself often, and lacking in counter-attack. The polls bear this dynamic out, naming Mitt Romney the 'winner'.

But was Obama the only 'loser'? We think not:

  • Mitt Romney's own record, the very campaign positions he's been advocating for 18 months were suddenly replaced by an etch-a-sketch-like shake towards the moderate center.
  • Anyone who ever dreamt of becoming a respected newscaster like Jim Lehrer.

    About the artist:

Lalo Alcaraz is perhaps the most prolific Chicano artist in the nation, according to his own bio. Lalo has been busy for over two decades chronicling the political ascendancy of Latinos in America and vigorously pushing the boundaries of Chicano art in the Post Chicano Art Era.

An award-winning journalist and illustrator, Lalo is also an author, faculty member at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles, and radio host. He is also the creator of the first nationally-syndicated, politically-themed Latino daily comic strip, “La Cucaracha.”

Lalo’s most recent project is a re-boot of the famed Pocho.com, his pioneering humor, satire and cerveza webzine/blog/news site.
