Rutger Hauer is sinking his teeth into a "True Blood" role. According to TVLine, Hauer will be a series regular when "True Blood" returns for Season 6.
The "Blade Runner" actor will play Macklyn, a mysterious figure with ties to Sookie and Jason. Could he have to a role in the murder of the Stackhouse parents?
Hauer's other TV credits include "Smallville" and "Alias."
"True Blood" will return to HBO in the summer of 2013.

"Fringe" has tapped Jill Scott for a role in the final season. Scott will play Simone, an oracle-like character. [THR]

Vanessa Marcil will guest star on "Hawaii Five-0." The "General Hospital" star will play a therapist. [TVLine]
"Off the Map" star Martin Henderson has joined a new NBC pilot. Henderson will play Kyle, a former flight surgeon/astronaut in "The Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives." [THR]
Ivan Sergei will romance Jeri Ryan on "Body of Proof." Sergei will guest star as Sergei (coincidentally), a mysterious man who catches Kate's eye. [TVLine]
Tegan and Sara will appear and perform on "90210." The indie group will appear in the Christmas-themed episode. [TVLine]
