Many have tried to explain President Obama's weak debate performance on Wednesday, but 'SNL' may have finally nailed down the real reason. When Obama wished the First Lady a happy anniversary during his opening remarks, perhaps it was more of an apology than a shout-out.
The cold open sketch saw Jay Pharoah and Jason Sudeikis reprising their roles as Barack Obama and Mitt Romney respectively, plus a surprise appearance by former cast member Chris Parnell as everyone's least favorite moderator, Jim Lehrer.
While the focus of the sketch is certainly on what went wrong with Obama, we would be remiss if we didn't point out that Sudeikis totally nails Romney's creepy debate stare.
