Wedding Brawl At Philadelphia's Sheraton Society Hill Hotel Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Arrested (VIDEO)

Guest Dies During Wedding Party Brawl

An out-of-control rumble that erupted between two wedding parties at a Philadelphia hotel this weekend left one guest dead and three in handcuffs.

Investigators say the melee started at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, when relatives from one reception got into an argument at the Sheraton Society Hill hotel bar, the Philadelphia Daily News reported. Eventually, members of the second party became involved.

The argument ultimately turned into a brawl that involved between 75 and 100 people, taking over the bar and spilling out into the hotel lobby, according to NBC 10. Officers attempting to control the fight found themselves outnumbered by the unruly wedding guests, and ended up swinging batons at individuals who wouldn't cooperate, according to WPVI.

Max Schultz, who was celebrating his 15th birthday at the hotel, recorded a video of the altercation and posted it to YouTube.

"They just decked the bride," a male voice can be heard saying on camera.

Police say a 57-year-old uncle of one bride suffered a fatal heart attack while trying to flee the chaos. The man was reportedly not involved in the brawl.

Two people were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, while one was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.

No names of any of the wedding guests have been released.
