Wedding Ideas: What Happens When 'Two People Who Like To Make Things' Get Married? (PHOTOS)

LOOK: What Happens When Crafty People Throw A Wedding

This weekend, Reddit user distastefulconfusing, from Rhode Island, shared images of her DIY summer wedding -- documenting what happened when "two people who like to make things" got married.

The bride, who owns and operates a Providence bakery, made the ombre cotton wedding linens and a variety of desserts. The groom, who runs a custom furniture and manufacturing shop, made the tables, chairs, cake stands and chuppah. The groom's father forged matching wedding rings from white and yellow gold, and the couple collaborated to design their wedding invitations and party favors -- brass coins stamped with the couple's initials and the wedding date.

The bride estimates that they spent about $6,000 on materials for the wedding, noting "the wealth that we have is in our ability to make things."
