'Intervention': Twins Both Suffer From Addiction, One To Crack And The Other To Alcohol (VIDEO)

'Intervention': One Twin Addicted To Alcohol, The Other To Crack

Like most twins, Miriam and Susie aren't the same in every way. Unfortunately, though, they did both stumble into addiction. Only for Miriam it's alcohol, while Susie is addicted to crack. Their stories unfolded on "Intervention."

In one scene, Miriam was tempted to smoke crack while watching her sister do it in front of her. She was so ashamed of her own desire, she didn't want the cameras to be rolling in that moment.

Susie's world has turned upside down due to her addiction. She sleeps with men to afford her $500/day crack habit, has been raped six times and lost custody of her children. Miriam still has her children, but her husband paints a chilling picture of what that's like.

"The stove is left on at 400 degrees with the door open. One of the kids is holding scissors and sticking it into a wall socket," he described.

Luckily, both women accepted the help offered during their intervention, and both have been sober since January 2012. "Intervention" continues on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on A&E.
