Blake Lively Makes First Public Appearance Since Ryan Reynolds Wedding: 'Life Is Great' (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Matrimony sure does her good.

Blake Lively stepped out for the first time as Mrs. Ryan Reynolds to attend a Chanel event in New York City and looked absolutely gorgeous.

Lively was spotted at Amber Tamblyn's wedding to David Cross and on-set filming the final season of "Gossip Girl" in New York City, but she decided to finally hit the red carpet for the Chanel Bijoux De Diamant 80th Anniversary celebration.

"Life is great!" she told Us Weekly on Tuesday night. "I was so excited to be driving over here in the car in this beautiful outfit. It's like a Disney princess dress!"

The beautiful Lively wore a silver and pale pink Chanel gown from the fashion house's Fall 2012 collection, New York Magazine's The Cut reported. The backless dress was complete with a jeweled back and pockets, within which Lively kept her ring-adorned left hand hidden. She accessorized with metallic Christian Louboutin pumps.

Us Weekly reported that hubby Ryan Reynolds was also in attendance at the Chanel fete, but arrived separately and met up with his bride inside.

Lively's publicist insisted no wedding questions be asked, according to Access Hollywood, but the newlywed was willing to talk about the last season of "Gossip Girl."

“It’s crazy. Six years [and] we’re finally done, I can’t believe it. I literally moved out of my parents’ house in Burbank and moved here to New York to, to shoot ‘Gossip Girl’ and now we’re done,” she told "Access Hollywood." “It is [bittersweet,] but it doesn’t feel real… we’re gonna have withdrawals afterward… it’s been very celebratory in these final few months knowing that we’re coming to an end and just appreciating the time.”

The "Gossip Girl" swan song may be music to Lively's ears.

The 25-year-old actress, who is the face of Chanel's "Mademoiselle" bag, will be very busy if she still wants those 30 kids.
