Glenn Beck's Rental Car Got Totaled After Daughter's Wedding

Glenn Beck's day as father of the bride ended with his rental car rolling down a hill.

Beck's daughter got married in upstate New York over the Columbus Day weekend. The radio host shared some pictures of the festivities on his website. Beck also posted photos of a totaled SUV.

He explained what went down on his radio show Tuesday: after the wedding, he and his family headed to the cottage they were renting and once at the door, Beck turned around to see their rental car sliding down a hill. Fortunately, everyone was out of the car.

"I see my wife dressed in her evening gown from the wedding, and she's holding on to the door handle of the car as the car is starting to slide down the hill, and I just said 'Let it go honey,'" he said. "And the car rolled down the hill, and rolled. And flipped."

Beck said that one of his security detail tried to get control of the SUV, thinking that Beck's son Raphe was still inside, and jumped out before the car flipped. "The guy's a hero," he declared.

The car ended up at the edge of the lake, and there was little else Beck felt he could do at the end of a long day. "I watched my car roll down the hill, literally roll," he said. "Just like a movie. I just stood there. And I'm like, 'All right let's go to bed.'"
