'Arrow' Ratings: Series Premiere Gives CW Biggest Audience In 3 Years

'Arrow' Brings In Huge Audience For The CW, 'Nashville' Off To Solid Start

Turns out "Arrow" is just the hero The CW needs. According to the network, the series premiere of the new drama based on DC Comics character Green Arrow was the highest-rated CW show in three years. The premiere had 4 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

"Arrow" boosted "Supernatural" too, the veteran drama had 2.6 million viewers and a 1 rating.

NBC's "Animal Practice" could be considered on life support with 3.9 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. "Guys With Kids" did slightly better with an audience of 4.2 million viewers and a 1.4 rating. At 9 p.m., "Law & Order: SVU's" "Fifty Shades of Grey"-themed episode had 6.2 million viewers and a 1.8 rating. The series premiere of "Chicago Fire" had 6.4 million viewers and a 1.9 rating.

The premiere of "Chicago Fire" faced stiff competition, facing off against the series premiere of "Nashville" and a new "CSI." ABC's "Nashville" premiered to 9 million viewers and a 2.8 rating, winning the 10 p.m. hour in 18-49 viewers. Earlier in the night on ABC, "The Middle" had 7.8 million viewers and a 2.4 rating, "The Neighbors" came in with 6.3 million viewers and a 1.9 rating and "Modern Family" continued to slay the competition in the 18-49 demographic. At 9 p.m., "Modern Family" had 12 million viewers and a 4.7 rating and at 9:30 p.m. the show had 12.2 million viewers and a 4.9 rating.

Fox's "The X Factor" had 9.4 million viewers and a 3.4 rating from 8-10 p.m.

Over on CBS, "Survivor: Philippines" had 9.6 million viewers and a 2.6 rating in the demo at 8 p.m. ET. At 9 p.m., "Criminal Minds" had 11.4 million viewers and a 3.0 rating. "CSI" had 10.6 million viewers and a 2.6 rating.
