Did you know that Ben Affleck spent a year in Mexico when he was a teen? And believe it or not, he’s got a pretty good grasp of the Spanish language. The Argo star even went so far as to try it out in a recent People en Español interview.

“Es muy spectacular!” Affleck jokingly said when describing his movie. “Gracias.”

Interestingly enough, Ben actually plays a Latino in Argo. His Tony Mendez character is a decorated CIA vet and was a consultant on the film.

So could there be more Hispanic characters in Ben’s future? Not as of yet, but he is working with Javier Bardem on his next big screen project, To The Wonder. Look for Argo to arrive tomorrow in theaters.
