3 Men Dead In 3 Separate Shootings Monday In Miami (VIDEO)

The week began with a flurry of violence with three separate shootings in the city, leading to three deaths.

The first incident occured right after midnight Monday morning between two 25-year-old men at 14730 SW Tenth Court in Miami. The two were allegedly arguing, and the fight escalated to the point that the two shot each other, according to police.

One victim was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition, while the other ran from the scene and then died. Their names were not released.

Then at 6:30 a.m., Levon Joseph, 42, was shot and killed at 6323 N. Miami Place while waiting for a ride to work, CBS Miami reports.

Neighbors reported that they heard six gun shots while Joseph, a chef, was sitting in a lounge chair as he does every morning. Police don't know what led to the shooting.

The shooter, Gregory Wright, fired at the officer and then ran off with his girlfriend Bonita Jones "as a hostage," Miami-Dade Police Lt. Rosanna Cordero-Stutz said. The couple is still at large.

UPDATE, Monday 3:50 p.m.: Police found Gregory Wright at a relative's home and communicated with him before entering, according to a release from the Miami-Dade Police Department. When the Special Response team went inside, they saw Wright suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot would, from which he died moments later.
