Why was Three 6 Mafia member DJ Paul walking around with a Taser gun?
"I use it for personal protection," is what he allegedly told a cop when he was busted for drinking an open container of Corona beer after leaving a New York restaurant Sunday night. According to the New York Daily News, DJ Paul (née Paul Beauregard) was charged with weapons possession and public drinking. Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Beauregard was released Monday morning after pleading "not guilty" to both charges; he is due in court in December.
No word on whether the Memphis-based rapper was attempting to reenact a scene from "Hustle & Flow," the 2005 movie for which his group snagged an Oscar for Best Original Song, with "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp."
