Obama Romney Presidential Debate Photos: Candidates Turn Up The Intensity At Hofstra University

Obama, Romney Turn Up The Intensity

President Barack Obama and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney sparred at the second presidential debate from Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. on Tuesday, openly confronting one another as they sought to field questions in the town hall format.

While the presidential debate contract, leaked earlier this week, suggested that both candidates would be expected to move around in "pre-designated areas," neither appeared to abide by the rule, frequently getting close to one another as they argued about the specifics of their various platforms.

The pictures in the slideshow below show some of the most intense moments of the debate. Vote on the best photo, and check out our debate live blog for more details of the night's event.
