WASHINGTON -- The Easter Seals Young Professionals Council hosted a “Gilligan’s Island Cruise on the Potomac” on Thursday evening. The ESYPC dinner yielded more than $10,000 for the Easter Seals Greater Washington-Baltimore Region Annual Fund.
The three-hour tour set sail at the Washington Marina, hitting the waters of the Potomac River. More than 50 passengers participated in trivia, limbo contest and raffles. Those who dressed up as "Gilligan's Island" characters took home prizes.
The money raised from this inaugural adventure will go towards helping people with disabilities and special needs, wounded warriors, veterans and their families.
