Halloween Light Show 2012: A 'Gangnam Style' Virginia Suburb (VIDEO)

Virginia Suburb Goes Gangnam Style

At this point, draping one's house in LED strands timed to blink along with the year's most ubiquitous song is neither a new American holiday ritual nor necessarily a great one. But it's ours. This year, the Leesburg, Va. house/attraction owned by YouTube user Edwards Landing Lights is studded in 8,500 bulbs synched with "Gangnam Style."

In case you think this sort of show is small potatoes, may we please direct you to the Edwards Landing Lights Facebook page. As in any sophisticated micro-universe, there are rules here. The top status update as of publication reads:

If you come to the show you MUST abide by the following courtesies or the show WILL be shut down.

The stipulations that follow include being respectful to other viewers by not "blocking the sight lines," not setting foot on the Edwards Landing lawn "for any reason," and last: "have fun." There is talk of a dress rehearsal, a 13-song show, and the only exception to the lawn rule: if you're doing an impromptu horse dance, that's apparently just fine.
