Taylor Swift Style: Singer Won't Take Her Clothes Off, Wants People To Focus On Music

Taylor Swift won't say whom she's voting for, or who her songs are written about, and she won't take off her clothes.

The 22-year-old singer is fond of vintage-inspired dresses with high necklines and parent-approved hemlines, unlike most pop stars. Swift has no intention of showing too much skin because she doesn't trust people to be able to focus on what's important if she did.

"I don’t really take my clothes off because I don’t think I can pull it off. Also, most people are only going to focus on one or two things about you — I want that to be that I write my own songs, not that I have great abs," she told The Sun.

The other reason Swift refuses to strip down to sell records is that she takes her status as a role model seriously.

"The reality is what you wear matters. If you're a singer and on TV and in the living room of some 12-year-old girl, she's watching what you're wearing and saying and doing ... For me, when Faith Hill performed on an awards show, everything mattered -- everything she said, did, wore, I tried to copy it. That's what little girls do, so there is a big responsibility and I take it very seriously," she told Billboard magazine last year.
