Deer Invades Office Break Room, Trashes It (VIDEO)

Deer Trashes Office

A deer broke into a Jackson, Miss., office building on Wednesday and proceeded to wreck the break room.

The 80-pound animal entered the break room through a double-pan window and proceeded to jump on cabinets and knock over boxes and furniture before animal control arrived to remove it. Employees had locked the deer in the room to contain it in the meantime, according to ABC Jackson.

"The last thing you expect is to come to work and find a large deer standing behind your desk," Margie Purvis, an employee at the business, told WAPT.

Animal control said the deer cut itself a few times on the broken glass of the window and left smears of blood around the office. The deer was released outside and is expected to make a full recovery.

This isn't the first time this month that a deer has broken into a building. NBC News reports that a 300-pound deer that broke into a northeast Philadelphia, Pa., home over the weekend had to be euthanized after animal control could not remove it.
