Was Letterman Trying To Confuse Snooki On 'Late Show'?

It can be hard to get on the same page with Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, but David Letterman appeared to be trying intentionally confuse her during her latest appearance on "Late Show." Or maybe it was Letterman who was confused.

The conversation derailed when he asked her how many shows she had done. So she replied, "I did six seasons of 'Jersey Shore' and then two of 'Snooki & JWoww.'"

That sounds like the right answer, but it wasn't what Letterman was looking for, so he kept badgering her. "I was looking for the numerical count of shows."

Snooki admitted she had no idea what he was talking about and wanted him to "just move on." Perhaps he wanted to know how many total episodes she'd done across the two shows? By the end of it, everyone from the host, the guest and the audience both at home and in the studio were thoroughly confused.

Even better, it wasn't that critical of a question. Does it matter that much?

The final season of "Jersey Shore" continues on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV, while "Late Show with David Letterman" is on every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS. Wonder how many "shows" Dave's done?
