As a Hurricane Sandy/winter storm hybrid looms over the U.S. East Coast, some experts warn that a "Frankenstorm" could result in over $1 billion in damage.

The Associated Press explains that the combination of Hurricane Sandy, a winter storm from the west and cold air from the north could result in a costly hybrid storm over densely populated areas. Check out the infographic below of past expensive storms:
