I've heard that about 1% of the population is asexual, so when love and relationship expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz joined me on Mondays with Marlo, I just had to ask her about this. She told me that this phenomenon of wanting companionship but not wanting sex was extremely uncommon. Instead, she told me that men -- specifically -- often lack sex drive due to low testosterone levels, which can be fixed. However, she did say, that if a person truly is asexual, which is possible, they should seek out a companion that is also asexual.
