DETROIT -- Barring something unforeseen, Jose Valverde has closed his last game for the Tigers. Almost certainly, Delmon Young has hit his last clutch home run in a Detroit uniform.

If team president/general manager Dave Dombrowski has his way, it won't be the end of Anibal Sanchez's tenure in Detroit, but Sanchez and the market will have the final say on that. At this point, he's the one free agent the Tigers will actively pursue.
