Pretzel bread is in no way a new concept. It's a traditional yeasty bread brought over from German immigrants and has long been a staple in New York. The only problem is, most of us know pretzel bread to come in the form of dry and greasy soft pretzels -- which isn't something we actually want to eat.

But soft, flavorful pretzel bread, the way it's suppose to taste, has made a comeback -- and it's showing its face in upscale restaurants. Luckily, you don't need to go out to dinner to enjoy this bread, you can bake up some rolls at home too.
