Channing Tatum knows how to take it off, but is he really the sexiest man alive?
People magazine reportedly think so.
Gossip Cop has it on good authority that Tatum, 32, will be announced as the "Sexiest Man Alive" on Nov. 14 -- but the magazine is keeping mum for now.
“We never comment on who the Sexiest Man Alive is until the issue is revealed," a rep for People told the website.
It's a title that while flattering comes with inherent controversy. Last year Ryan Gosling fans actually protested outside of People's headquarters in New York, because they were upset that Bradley Cooper was the magazine's 2011 pick.
Cooper recently nominated Richard Gere to succeed him in 2012, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen.
Here at HuffPost Celebrity, we've been conducting our own poll to determine the real "Sexiest Man Alive," and we're a little surprised with People's reported choice, since Tatum didn't even make our list.
Currently, "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder is winning our poll, with none other than Justin Bieber in a close second.
Will there be protests when People magazine officially unveils its cover next week? Only time will tell.
