Dean Bieker, Kansas Man, Allegedly Tried To Take Loaded Gun On Plane At O'Hare

Man Charged With Trying To Bring Loaded Gun On Plane

A Kansas man was arrested Saturday when he attempted to bring a loaded handgun onto an airplane at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago.

Dean Bieker, 54, of Olathe, was charged with trying to bring a loaded gun onto a plane, a felony, after the firearm was found in his carry-on luggage, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The gun was a 25 caliber beretta, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, and it was caught by an x-ray scan at the airport's security checkpoint.

Bieker is joined by some well-known company who have also been arrested on similar charges in recent weeks. Former "Dallas" and "All My Children" television star Jack Scalia was apprehended at LAX Airport late last month when a Glock 9mm was found inside his luggage.
