Delaware Polls 2012: What You Need To Know To Vote

A large turnout is expected in Delaware on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

“There’s been so much press that I think it could be higher than 2008,” Delaware's Election Commissioner Elaine Manlove said of the expected turnout.

If you want to vote and be part of that, here's what you need to know.

The closing time for Delaware polls is 8 p.m. Eastern Time; opening time is slated for 7 a.m.

Delaware awards three electoral votes to its victor in the presidential race. Barack Obama won in 2008, and it has voted fo the Democratic presidential candidate every year since 1992.

The state is considered strongly-leaning Obama, according to polls.
