Hurricane Sandy Cancels Flights, So Couple Charters Bus To Wedding

The Big Change Hurricane Sandy Forced One Couple To Make

Not even a flooded house and canceled flights could stand in the way of one engaged couple's wedding plans.

New York residents Latisha and Baron Lattimore had planned a destination wedding at Orlando's Waldorf Astoria, reports Orlando television station WESH. But a week before the scheduled nuptials, Superstorm Sandy left them with a flooded Brooklyn house and no flights out to Orlando.

Instead of canceling the event, the couple chartered a bus to Orlando for their 80 guests.

The wedding went perfectly, though the couple cut their Orlando honeymoon short to help with the clean-up process in New York.

The Lattimores could trade Sandy horror stories with Tiffany and Michael Kellner, whose New Jersey wedding venue flooded days before their ceremony. But as CBS reported, the couple got creative and found a new venue just three days before their Sunday wedding.
