Michelle Williams, Jason Segel Hurricane Sandy: Busy Philipps Says 'They Were Spared' By Superstorm

Michelle Williams And Jason Segel's Brooklyn Home 'Is Fine'

Good news for Michelle Williams and Jason Segel.

The couple's apartment building -- a renovated coffee warehouse in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn -- was severely damaged after Superstorm Sandy swept through the East Coast. But Williams' best friend Busy Philipps reveals they are safe and sound.

"I talked to her today and they were spared," the "Cougar Town" star told E! News at the baby2baby gala in Los Angeles, Calif., on Nov. 3. "Everything is fine."

"Everyone is safe," Phillips added. "Everything's OK."

Williams, Segel and her daughter Matilda, 7, moved into the remodeled 19th-century building a few months ago, after the actress put her Brooklyn brownstone, which she shared with the late Heath Ledger, on the market.

The Red Hook area, as well as the Fairway market on the ground floor of the warehouse, was flooded due to Sandy's tremendous impact.
