Are you ready to vote, Michigan?

It's that time. Here's what you need to know about voting on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

The closing time for all Michigan polls is 8 p.m. local time; that's regardless of whether you live in the Central or Eastern Time Zone - your polls will close at 8 p.m. your time.

Polls in Michigan open up at 7 a.m. local time.

Michigan has 16 electoral votes up for grabs in the presidential race. The state has voted for the Democratic presidential candidate every year since 1992.
