Romney Expected To Score Easy Victory In Alabama

In the Alabama election on Tuesday, Mitt Romney is expected to secure the state's 9 electoral votes over Barack Obama.

There are not U.S. Senate or gubernatorial contests on the ballot in Alabama this election cycle.

The AP reports:

Alabama Republicans are sending volunteers to assist GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney in swing states, including Ohio and Florida.

Ken Brown, the char of the Cullman County GOP, returned this week from Ohio. He was among more than 100 people from Alabama working for the party.

During the Republican primary season, Romney came up short in Alabama to former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, who scored a victory in the contest down south.

The polls are open between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Central time in Alabama.
