'Don't Blame Me, I Voted For Kodos,' Says Entire Internet (TWEETS)

Everyone On The Internet Is Voting For Kodos

Perhaps there's no better quote to describe the current mood of the country than a single line from a 16-year-old episode of "The Simpsons," in which Homer absolves himself of guilt after alien ruler Kang obliterates the planet by saying that he threw his support behind Kang's opponent: "Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos."

That line has since become an evergreen metaphor for our divided political system, where no matter how bad things get, aligning oneself with a politician or political party is the highest concern for many, even above the interests of the country.

In this neck-and-neck presidential race in which President Obama is heavily favored but Mitt Romney could still win, that line has taken on new meaning. So much, in fact, that we checked out Twitter, and it seems that pretty much everyone has, in fact, voted for Kodos.

Check out the slideshow below to see who's not going for Republican or Democrat, but instead Kodos.
