The Florida poll booths are opening soon. Are you ready, Florida?

Find the critical information you need to know below to vote in Florida on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

The closing time for all polls in Florida is 7 p.m. local time. That's earlier than a lot of other states. Since part of the state is in the Central Time zone, those polls will close at 8 p.m. Eastern Time but 7 p.m. local time. Likewise, polls in the Eastern Time zone close at 7 p.m. local time, which is 6 p.m. in the Central Time zone.

The opening time for Florida polls is 7 a.m. local time. That's also earlier than many other states so Floridians have the opportunity to vote early in the morning.

There's already been some voting controversy in Florida. For those who tried early voting, they encountered long lines and lengthy waiting times. Some have asked for an extension for early voters.

Not sure where to vote? The State of Florida advises you to contact your Supervisor of Elections. You should be able to find the appropriate local official through some quick Internet searching.

Florida has 29 electoral votes up for grab and they're extremely important. It's practically a must-win state for Mitt Romney when you look at his chances to take the White House, the Los Angeles Times reports. See our election map here.
