Obama Poised To Win 20 Electoral Votes Over Romney In Home State

Barack Obama is expected to win 20 electoral votes over Mitt Romney in the Illinois election on Tuesday.

The president carried his home state in 2008, and will be at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, the city where his campaign headquarters are based, as the results roll in on election night.

U.S. Senate and governor's races are not being held in the Land of Lincoln this year.

The polls are open between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Illinois.
