Romney Set To Topple Obama In Kentucky Election

Mitt Romney is set to win 8 electoral votes over Barack Obama in the Kentucky election on Tuesday. Kentucky has consistently been in the GOP's hands, though the state's largest newspaper, The Courier-Journal, endorsed President Obama's reelection .

Though the Presidential contest won't produce any surprises in this solidly red state, there has been a last-minute flurry of fundraising and activity around still-competitive state legislative races .

Kentucky's polls are open between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM in both the Central and Eastern time zones.
