President Barack Obama was behind in the Montana polls going into Election Day this year, and most prediction models, including HuffPost Pollster's estimate, predicted the state would go to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

The race to watch in Montana is the contest between Democratic Sen. John Tester and GOP challenger Denny Rehberg, who represents Montana's at-large district in the U.S. House of Representatives.
