Americans were not the only ones glued to their TV screens to watch the results of this year's presidential election. People around the world attended parties and celebrations to mark the event and eagerly awaited the answer to that one question.. who will occupy the White House in the next four years.
In China, the U.S. embassy threw a party at a Beijng hotel and let guests pose with cardboard cut-outs of the presidential candidates.
In the Kenyan village of Kogelo, home to president Obama's grandmother, people danced and celebrated throughout the night while keeping an eye on incoming results.
