Ohio Election Results 2012 MAP: Presidential, Senate And House Winners (REAL-TIME DATA)

LOOK: Ohio Election Results MAP

Here is where you'll find the Ohio election results for the 2012 presidential election, the state's Senate and House contests and how citizens voted on ballot measures.

Ohio has 18 electoral votes and is considered almost essential for both President Barack Obama and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney on the path to winning the general election.

Obama won the Buckeye State in 2008, garnering 51.2 percent of the vote.

Since 1964, the candidate who has been victorious in Ohio has gone on to win the White House, and according to USA Today, no Republican has ever won the general election without Ohio's electoral votes.

The polls going into Tuesday showed the state leaning toward Obama, but some prediction models considered the state a tossup between the two candidates.
