Democrat Elizabeth Warren was projected the winner of the Massachusetts Senate race over GOP Sen. Scott Brown by NBC News and CBS News on Tuesday night.
The Warren win comes as a critical pick-up for Democrats who just months prior had risked losing their Senate majority. Warren and Brown had run a tight race throughout the course of the contest, with last-minute rounds of polling showing the two candidates within the margin of error.
