Remember the good old days, when voting was as simple as dropping a piece of paper in a box or pulling a lever behind a curtain? Well, they're long gone. Along with the evolution of voting technology and voter-targeting efforts, attempts to suppress, rig or complicate the voting process have become more sophisticated this election cycle.

Simply put: Voting shouldn't be hard, but in many places it is. Restrictive voter ID laws, fickle voting machines, intimidating billboards and unscrupulous groups designed to prevent "voter fraud" make the American electoral process a circus.
